High Nuchal Measurement

Had my 1st scan yesterday, and baby has a high nuchal measurement (above 3mm)

Have been referred to specialist hospital, have an appointment for Tuesday, for a rescan and if need be treatment (I presume this means I will be offered CVS)

Anyone else had high results or had a CVS done??

I have read a few threads about cvs, im sorry i cant help but maybe if you use the search function you can get to read some threads about it? xxx

what's a cvs??
I had this with my LO...but when they re-scanned it was just the position he'd been lying in and everything was oK! Hope the same for you

Ive had 3 cvs, what do you wanna know???? We have a chromosone translocation on my hubbys side so ANY preg we will have a CVS. The procedure risk rate depends on the hospital doing it and the person doing it. I had 2 in one day and was out of my mind with worry becauase of the risk being doubled but it was fine. If you have it i would recommed taking paracetamol straight after you have it as you may get slight cramping which i did and i think is very common. Spotting is fine too but i didnt have that. Cramps last 24 hours max. For us the pros outweighed the cons but everyone has to make sure its for them. Any other ques just P.M me. x
