| Swine Flu Jabs and Pills does not understand all these people who are freaking out about the swine flu jabs and pill at the end of the day if they wern't safe they wouldn't give them out they run tests on these drugs everyday if something was wrong with them it would of shown up by now COME ON PEOPLE no wonder swine flu is still on the rise !!!!!!! A good friend of mine is in hospital because of this lethal yes I said it LETHAL virus, I mean I will admit he went it because he had leukaemia but he had 80% chance of survival NOW because he picked up swine flu he is in critical care (intensive care not sure why they changed the name) fighting for his life heavily sedated with only 10% chance. And what if my 9 weeks old baby gets it she doesn't stand a chance. Please I am begging you get the jab or take the pills you could be saving 1000's of peoples lives | | | | Status: Online

| Thalidomide was prescribed in the late 1950s, early 60s as a remedy for morning sickness. It caused birth defects, such as loss of limbs.
It's now banned for use in pregnancy, but there is still research being done into using it to treat some cancers, HIV and leprosy.
I'd say medical science has come a long way since those days, in fact because of Thalidomide there are much stricter standards in place when it comes to testing drugs and they do tend to be safer. Although I can understand people's concern about the H1N1 vaccine I'm still having it myself.
I hope your friend makes a full recovery. | | | | Status: Offline

| yes they have come a long way i was just using it as an example of so called 'testing' and why some people may be cautious about new jabs
just to add they actually retested that vaccine and declared it safe in the 80's only for the smae problem with birth defects etc to occur
not in any way saying people shouldnt have the swine flu jab btw, just pointing out another side | | | | Status: Online

absolutely not as i said above it was just an example regarding testing, not a mention of the actual for or against swine flu vaccination debate | | | | Status: Online

| it's still very new, as is the virus, so it hasn't been very thoroughly tested at all. however a lot of people seem to be finding that the symptoms of the virus are far worse especially those who are vulnerable or with compromised immune systems, hence i can see why people worry about it. it's everyone's individual choice whether to have the jab or not, but it's still important to remember that's not the full story, jabs aren't always the absolute answer, we all still need to be careful. | | | | Status: Offline
