I'm a little confused. I went at 12 weeks for my nuchal scan. They did blood work the same day. I thought that was it... BUT then they told me i had to come back again at 16 weeks for another scan and more blood work.

I always thought this test just involved one scan. They didn't call me back because they were concerned about anything... they said it was standard.

Did you get one scan or two?

I got one nuchal scan, but maybe different countries have different routines?? I think that if they found anything untoward in your first scan then they would have been duty bound to tell you. xx

I only did the one scan and some bloodwork at 12 weeks and then additional bloodwork at 16 weeks. My next scan was the anomaly/anatomy scan which I had at 18 weeks instead of 20 weeks. Maybe that's what they're referring to?

Nope. I asked my doctor today. She said you get blood and U/S at 12 weeks. Then go back a month later for more blood and another scan. They put all the info together to come up with you risk factor. She said my measurements looked perfect at the last scan...

I am wondering if they will count this 16 week scan as my anatomy scan though... she didn't say anything about that today... and I would have thought I would have scheduled it, since my next appt with her I will be 19 weeks. Well - If I don't find out the sex next week - I'll be calling for SURE to find out. Too excited to wait!
