Emmaljunga pram versus silver cross pram!

I posted a thread on the silver cross pram and someone else did on the emmaliunga- which both look very similar to me (and both lovely). any opinions on which is better and why?

http://www.silvercross.co.uk/our-ran...sic-sleepover/

or

http://www.emmaljunga.co.uk/start.as...=UK&country=UK

I love the classic look of the silvercross plus the accessories that come with it. I thought there was a classic version of the emmaljunga but it wasn't on their website.
Is the silver cross more bulky and heavy?

Have you looked at Eichhorn? Also make similar prams to both of the above makes, i have one at i rate it very highly

Of the two brands youve mentioned i would go with Silver Cross, tbh i dont really rate Emmalijuna or whatever its called

It's me that wants the Emmaljunga. They seem sturdier to me, like the Silver Cross used to be. They're very high end though and a lot more expensive than a Silver Cross. I'll be getting a barely used one.

Here we usually either go for Emmaljunga or Brio, sometimes Teutonia.

well everyone has their own likes etc but i thought the silver cross looked way better quality when side by side, it came with everything, the carrycot looked much nicer, and the emmaljunga comes with a weird nylon grey with bright yellow reflective stripe raincover, buggered if we could work out how that would work in the carrycot mode, even the shop lady said you would prob have to buy a plastic cover - only £20ish but tbh when spending over 500, it would annoy me to get a cack raincover. thats why we didnt even consider mamas and papas ultime it comes with no sccessories, it does include car seat but we dont need that as part of pram

My raincover for my Emmaljunga (arriving today) doesn't look like what Suzi described ^. It could be that was a type they had in the shops.

Seriously, if you're comparing the two, I think it's worth going to both the Silver Cross and the Emmaljunga websites and having a look, deciding which of each would suit your needs better and then try to see those in person.

It's personal opinion and what suits your needs, as I don't think that the Silver Cross looks miles better than the Emmaljunga at all. I definitely think the Emmaljunga looks better when sat next to a Silver Cross, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.

My sis has emmaljunga and it's really nice! It's lovely to push solid and has reovable pushchair unti which can be used front and rear facing. The only thing is it is bulky to pu in a car. But it's an excellent pram.

I don't know about silver cross, I don't tend to like the newer models, I haven't look at this model but have been told it feels quite flimsy on the handle bar. If you want a classic pram you need s sturdy handle bar cos this is how you manouvre it arouns corners.

Incidently I have a classic silvercross coach pram for sale! 1980's. Been re-covered (which are removable.) and had new wheels.
