Rats and babies?

We have 5 cats and have that covered for bobs arrival, but we also have two pet rats and while I assume there wont be a problem I wondered if anyone knew?

So long as you wash your hands thoroughly after touching them or cleaning their cage you'll be just fine. I have 6 cats, a dog and a hamster and work with animals extensively. Just use common sense and wash after touching them.

Thats what I thought, just the same as with the cats. Obviously I won't be doing what OH asked- "Do you think they could come out and play with the baby?" I'm thinking not on that one!

aww I love rats, miss mine so much. As long as you follow basic hygiee can't see a problem. When Seren is old enough for her first pet she is getting a pet rat

Definetly get two! They're very social. I have 10...PPL think I'm crazy but as long as I can care for them what's the problem?
