Does anyone have any great stories of how they told their DH or OH about you

?? I would love to hear them..... Or even how you told your parents or grandparents....

mine isn't very exciting im afraid

We had been trying for a month and I was sitting at PC and asked OH to get me a drink and in my head i though "if he doesnt do it im going to kill him" which i thought was a little unreasonable so went upstairs and did a test as im not usually that violent lol

The faintest blue line came up so i went downstairs and said "can you see that? Theres a line there isnt there?"

at which point he went pale, nodded and sort of moved to edge of sofa and was very quite for rest of evening.

I believe he was in shock lol

I did mine by text!!! I just couldn't say the words because a baby wasn't really something we'd talked bout and wasn't planned. Turns out he got the text whilst on an important conference call at work and knocked his coffee all over ooopppss :-)

I found out two days after his birthday. I bought a birthday card that said "Happy Birthday DAD" and wrote a letter from baby inside and included the BFP in the card. When he got home from work I told him he got a belated birthday present. He asked "who's it from" and I told him that he'd have to open it up to find out. Needless to say, when he saw the cover of the card, his jaw dropped and he spent a couple minutes looking between me, the card, and the test before getting a big smile on his face and saying "you're pregnant?!?!" Even when you're trying, I think pure shock is a common first reaction.

My period was late... and were down at DH's parents just after Chirstmas. I mentioned it to DH and when we got back we tested... but the second line was VERY faint, and we couldn't work out whether it was actually positive or not! DH was going away for the New Year, so I retested and text him the picture! None the less he had to spend the whole weekend with his mouth shut about the news!!

we were simply watching the test develop together. I couldnt imagine testing with out him by my side to be honest

Wow those are some great stories.... Our 1st wedding anniversary is coming up next weekend so Im hoping this is our month... We'll see!!! Can't wait to see a reaction... I guess even though you try and try it is still kind of a shock when it does happen... I hope more ladies share... Love hearing the stories!!!

Haha, I was crying too hard I couldn't say anything. WHen he asked what was wrong I tossed the pregnancy test at him. He had no idea I'd bought one and didn't think for a moment that I might be pregnant. I was 3.5 weeks and pretty shocked to say the least! We'd only done it once (wedding night) unprotected.

It pays to listen in health class.

hahaha. We are obviously over the moon about it now once it had a minute to sink in!

Oh, and we told my MIL at a family party, he has a very LARGE family so we decided to wait until everyone was together to tell them. We bought a bib that said "I love my Grammy" and wrapped it up & gave it to her infront of everyone. Well, she opened it and said "Oh this will be nice for when Luke comes over to my house". Luke is her other grandbaby, 8 months old. Hahaha! We just stood there staring at her & finally she yelled "OH! Oh my goodness!" Then everyone sort of gasped (his sisters screamed

). It took a minute but everyone was very happy.
