Loud sounds: good or bad for foetus?

I'm supposed to be going clubbing tonight depending on a few thing.

Since I'm getting on a bit I find the noise of clubs to be REALLY loud and so take ear plugs with me

But i was thinking the foetus can apparently hear things from this week and although in the past I've heard that it's really good for the baby's brain development to listen to loud rhythmical music in the womb, I was wondering if it could be too loud and if it could harm my li'l foetus or disturb it? I love him or her. Isn't that weird? I love something I've never met. anyway... I digress...

earplugs omg you sound like me. i wesa earplugs to bed coz of OH and his bloody snoring

Your baby will be fine with a bit of loud music. Just be careful about drunken people bumping into you or elbowing you or people kicking off. And make sure you dont get over heated in there.

yeah sure the music would be fine, but like the other lady said, it's the drunks bumping into you that you need to worry about more xx

I went clubbing when pregnant with DS up until I was 37 weeks!!

I never drank or anything - just went out for a laugh with the girls and it never did him any harm - he's nearly 9 now and I must admit he really loves his music!! and LOUD!!!

loud music, hoovering etc all = good in my opinion. means baby gets used to stuff and you can carry on as normal when baby arrives and dont have to worry about baby crying when you turn stereo on or start housework.

theres nothing worse than having to be quiet cos theres a baby in house!
