everywhere i've read says its the best exercise while pregnant! not sure but next and m&s might do maternity swimwear as well?
i read somewhere that swimming in a chlorinated pool might be better if not too often but i dont take any notice of that hmm i want to go now and cool off!!!

I just bought a regular bikini (am 29 weeks). I am not one to show off my tummy in public normally, but at least this way I know it will fit until the end as well as after...And it's supercomfy (and cute, if I may say so myself).

I've just got into swimming in the last week! I used to swim a lot but haven't for ages, and I have to say it's just brilliant when pregnant. I'm taking it nice and easy, just doing as many laps as I feel comfortable with and taking breaks a lot, but I love it. It makes me feel like I've had a great workout but without getting too knackered or putting any strain on my muscles.

I got a Mothercare maternity tankini from Ebay for about £5. It was pretty much brand new, didn't look worn at all

Swimming is definitely a low impact exercise that is great for you while pregnant. I never had the luxury of doing it for my other pregnancies but we just moved to the Beach and we have a pool right here too so I practically live in the water. Its already been such a stress reliever and good on my back and hips. As you get further along I hear it's even nicer on the body.

Hi, I swim most days for about 20 minutes. I bought a membership to the pool local to me and saved alot of money. I am still in my regular bikini and will hopefully stay in it until my bump gets really big. I am concerned about the marathon event I will be doing when labour starts and really want to have the stamina to get through it!!!

I started swimming a month ago to help the swelling in my feet and legs. It works wonders!

Most of the time I just do flutter kick with a kick board. That way I can control my breathing as opposed to having to breath every third stroke doing freestyle. And the belly definately screws up my backstroke!

Swimming is fab when your pregnant I used to go at least once a week.

I went to a private gym so it was a bit quiter than the leisure centre. They also have floats in the shape of a tube which I tuck under my arms and rest my shoulders on so only my legs had to do any work

I got my maternity tankini from Mothercare.
