ive been wanting a poem i can write in hubbys parents christmas card to announce that we are having a baby and ive just found it.
here it is.

Dear Grandma & Grandpa,

I do not have a face to see,
or put inside a frame.
i do not have soft cheeks to kiss.
i dont yet have a name.

not yet can you hold my tiny hands,
nor whisper in my ear.
its still too soon to sing a song,
or cuddle me so near.

but all that will change come july;
when they say i am due.
i am your newest grandchild;
and i cant wait until i meet you!

all i ask between now and then
is your love for me to grow.
i promise ill be worth the wait;
just think of all the joy we'll know!

so as your waiting patiently,
plaese pray lots of prayers for me.
i cannot wait to be a part
of this wonderful family!

yes the only thing is that his dad is really emotional so i dont think there will be any dry eyes in the house.
i think im gonna have to give it to his mum as i can imagine his dad opening the card and he wont read it properly and he will turn around and say 'arh thank you'. and then he wont get the message. so i think giving it to his mum will be the besr bet.
