Caesarian, How many birth partner can you have??

Im having a elective caesarian this time and it was very important with my first that I could have my mom and (now ex) Oh with me. But i asked a friend how many people she was allowed for her emergency c-section and she said just one!! Is this differnt in differnt hospitals or is it everywhere you can just have 1 because of all the medical team in the room too??

Every c section ive seen on tv has been one...my sister's was one...my friend's was one...so I really think no matter where you go its just one person.

At my hospital you are only allowed one person with you when having a csection if you are awake. If you are put to sleep for the section then nobody else is allowed in the room

I had a planned c-section with Erica. My hospital told me it was up to the anesthesiologist. After asking nicely she let my DH and my mom come in the OR with me.

In the operating room they only allowed us to have one person (I chose OH). While I was labouring I was allowed 2 (OH & his mum came.. my mum worked in the hospital as an RN so she was able to come in as well-- so I had 3 )

While I was in labour I was allowed two partners, my DH and Mum. However once they had decided they were going to do the csection they only allowed one person in the operating theatre with me so DH came with me.

1 if you are awake, none if you are under a general (they have to wait in a waiting room). And your partner may be shoved to the side of the room if something goes wrong or on vomit bowl duty.
