Handing in MATB1

What happens after I have handed in my MATB1 form? Does my company have to confirm anything back or is that it?

When you hand in the form write a letter to go with it stating:

1. that you are pregnant
2. what the expected week of childbirth is and
3. when you want maternity leave to start.

They then have to write back to you within 28 days confirming when you have to return to work and what your maternity pay will be.

Hope that helps.

I did as you stated above, when I was around 30 weeks pg, I got the later confirming mat pay etc after I had Kayleigh! She was about 2 weeks old and all the info was wrong. Typical of my firm a total joke!
