Thrush?

I think I have thrush I was really sore down there with my stitches but they have been healing really well and wasn't sore at all then for a few days. now it seems to be itchy and a burning feeling but not so much where my stitches are more where i pee from . I used to get thrush alot before from wearing pads when i had my period so i changed to tampons and didn't get it again. so its possibly from wearing pads constantly again. my doctors is closed today and was just wondering if its ok to get an over the counter cream? just want to make sure its ok to put it on so soon after giving birth? probably a silly question just want to make sure. thanks ladies

what did you do? I'd just ask the pharmacist when I was getting it...but I certainly wouldn't want to put up with it! If you didn't get any cream, apparently natural yoghurt is really good and might tide you over til you can ring the drs (if they're open!) tomorrow?

hey I thought I had thrush too cos of wearing pads... (not the most hygenic things ey)!!

Took a pill from over the counter.... then got a pessary and cream from doc!! The symptons eased but then came back with a vengence lol!! So I went back to docs and got her to take a swab and she gave me some anti-biotics to really kill the bugs down there!! So keep an eye on it... either my thrush was that bad the normal stuff wouldnt kill it or I had an infection!!

Hope the symptons ease soon its sooooo uncomfortable ey!!
