6 Week Check

Just wondering if you're given an internal at your 6 week check??

I don't think I could handle it. I found them so painful during my labour I had to have gas & air. The thought of having one done again is really worrying me now

i hope not too as i nearly went through the roof during labour when they were checking my cervix and god knows what else! i actually found the internals more painful than actually having the baby! i doubt they will give internals at the 6 week check up - hope not!

No hun you don't have an internal (unless you think there's a problem). At your check the doc will just talk to you and ask you how you are feeling physically and emotionally, make sure your bleeding has stopped and that any cuts have healed, maybe take blood pressure if needed. It's very routine, nothing to worry about just a little chat to make sure your doing fine.
