I'm Currently Feeling:

Increased feeding+decreased sleep

My boy is starting his seventh week today and is fed on-demand (he was also a preemie).Suddenly he wants to drink every hour and a half and from 12am-3am he doesnt sleep,he wants to be fed constantly and held close to me.His first two weeks I tried to schedule feed him every 3hrs but that did not work out as he would wake up earlier and scream. What can I do to regulate his feeding? My nipples are sore!He easily feeds about 12 times in a 24hr period. He has 8-10 full nappies/diapers per day.Sometimes he just likes to latch onto my nipple like a pacifier and sleeps! Its just getting too chaotic. Will his feeding ever decrease?

Initially at birth growth spurts were every few days, then it was every few weeks and you will find that the growth spurts start spacing now by the several weeks or a month, then months.

I'm sorry you're hurting, and it will get better - but it is very normal.
