I'm Currently Feeling:  | My midwife seemed really surprised too - Sam was 8lb 13oz when he was born, 8lb 14oz 4 days later, and had gained another 5oz in 5 days after that (I'm breastfeeding too). It did slow down though - he's a normal weight for his age now at 3 1/2 months  |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | I agree with turbo_mom... your doc will put baby on a growth chart and will keep track of everything... make sure though if you are breastfeeding, they use the breastfeeding growth chart, not the standard one. http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns...wthcharts.html
But even if your baby doesn't seem to be doing well on the growth chart, if they seem to be doing well, and are happy - that's the best indicator.   |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Izzie was 10 lbs. 8 oz at birth. 9 lbs. 8 oz when we left hospital (5 days) at two weeks she was 10 lbs. 1 oz and now (4 weeks) she is 11 lbs. 9 oz. |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Don't know why midwife was surprised cause it looks like a lot of babies don't loose any weight.
She's obviously thriving well and she was just little so it's good she's putting on plenty. |
