Sore breasts, pain relief??

Hi i was just wondering if anyone on here had any ideas for pain relief for sore breasts.

As my breast are really sore and swollen, i'm not breastfeeding but i can't even give my 2 little boys a cuddle they are that sore.

Any Ideas??

I was told to use cabbage leaves, leave them in the fridge and then just pop one in your bra, the cold from it is very soothing apparently! I must admit i never tried it but my MW swore by it!

poor u bet is uncomfortable

maybe some ice on them? I know you can get gel packs for breasts that you put in the fridge and can put inside your bra during the day. I think Jools Oliver had that in her book and she said she swore by them.

Sorry you're hurting too. I spent much of last night in frustrated tears because i couldnt get comfortable enough to sleep, if my boobs are comfy enough my scar isnt.

Can you buy cooling pads that cool and soak up leaks?

xx

I think we're over the worst though. I just wasn't at all prepared for how much they would hurt. I knew they would swell up and go hard but i just wasnt prepared for the pain.

(but not snuggly hugs coz my boobs hurt too much ... you have to laugh about something)

xx

Cabbage leaves.

There is a chemical in them that helps reduce engorgement slightly (so if you're breastfeeding watch that you don't wear them all the time )

And the coolness will help with the soreness. You can also take a couple tylenol, (paramecetol?) to help with the pain.
