Breast feeding?

You all know I wasn't going to, but when she was there, I just had to try it. I loved it. I loved how close we were and the way she looked at me. But, it did get too hard and I gave in one night and gave her a bottle. (She was fed 6pm-8pm 9pm-10pm 11pm-12pm then 1am-4.30am before I gave in. She was so upset and it was making me upset. I just wanted to be able to make her satisfied and I couldn't. So yeah, that's when the bottle feeding began.) Since then I've been so upset. I miss her and how close it made us.

Anyway, I was feeding her last night because I was so upset and I needed to be that close again. I topped her up with a bottle after. It's alright to do both, right? She's happy and I'm happy. I love feeding her but it doesn't fill her up. She needs more.

I do both successfully. I express my milk into bottles but will still put her on me occasionally if she is rooting around inbetween bottles. I use the closer to nature bottles

Toria, right now before your milk comes in, you won't feel like you are satisfying her, but don't worry. The weight she will lose, is meant to be lost. I also found that in the days before my milk came in Bren was on my breast about every hour, on the hour, and would just seem to camp out there. Just keep trying, and once your milk comes in you will see a big difference!! Promise. It is totally worth it as well. Hard, but so so wonderful.

The first week really sucks and if it's something you want to do don't worry, it does get better
