How long did you c-sections mommy's wait before *ahem*

I was told to wait 6 weeks before BD'ing, but it is starting to seem like a REALLY long time. I had a planned section, and only ever dilated to like a half a centimeter. I feel fine, have been exercising (pilates & quick walking) and for the most part feel back to normal. I'm sure that everything is back to normal down there, and me and DH have really wanted to. Do you think its alright? How long did you ladies wait?

Thanks!! =)

I have never gone through this, but I think its best to follow DRs instructions. When you heal, you may look and feel like you are fine, but you are still healing on the inside... So BDing may injure you inside where your incision is still trying to heal. If that makes sense

But glad to hear you are feeling almost back to normal

You probably should wait. Inside where the placenta pulled away is still a huge sore/scar and if that's not completely healed you may start bleeding again.

Really?!

Well, I have to say that a week after my C-sections the last thing on my mind was sex. Between the discomfort and bleeding, I waited until I was able to and felt up to it.

I waited almost 7 weeks. Yeah.. it was just like a few days ago..
I still didn't want to.. but all well.. get it over with.
You do need to watch out for dryness though.
I still haven't stopped bleeding because I was put on the shot and have been bleeding since I got it (about 2-3 weeks now!!). But I know I'm not bleeding from the birth because it's bright red, and that blood wasn't red like this. (sorry if TMI)

Well so she told me. Sounds very soon to me but apparently she felt very hormonal and couldn't wait!!
