Tired!!

Im fed up, I am back at work full time and am exhausted. Last week Chloe went to Childminders and after an hours play at home and feed she was out like a light.

This week she just will not go to sleep, I have to be up early and I need my sleep but obviously that isn't going to happen. She is waking later which isn't good as she is not feeding in the morning and then its ages before she gets to eat on the school run she goes on.

She falls asleep on me but every time I put her down she wakes up! ARGH!!

Im getting so frustrated I just want to scream. I know I am lucky really as she isn't normally so bad at sleeping. Its just, it didn't matter so much when I could stay at home but now I just feel so run down and tired. I have crappy deadlines I so I am getting irritable and frustrated.

OH goes to bed early but he isn't sleeping and I can't settle her in like I used to as it wakes him up. So I have to wait and be the last up and I just hate having my sleep times dictated so much, I want to put her in her own room at the end of the month as I think its better for her as we wont have to tip toe around OH. I will miss her next to me thought.

I do all the night shifts, OH sets off to work at 1am so its not practical and he is always tired too.

I haven't been too well these last few days either, I think that just doesn't help.

I just would like 1 day a month where I could get a lie in, just 1 day is all I ask where I can sleep for as long as I want.

Aww hun, I'm sure Nij would oblige if he could....and he should (Nij.....you listening! lol)

I'm sorry she's not sleeping...could be her growth spurt as Earl is now waking more in the night and is more awake on an evening too, but the routine seems to be working most times.

Does she need to go to bed earlier? With the excitement of the childminders and being woken up earlier than she is used to, do you think she may be over-tired?

Sorry you've not been well hun...take some time to rest if you can (easier said than done I know) but I hope that you feel better soon and things settle down xx

Thanks Aimee,

Yeah, I'm sure if he could he would. He does help around the house too so I don't like to moan at him as he is shattered and feeling unwell too, obviously he has to be careful due to the nature of his job.

I'm not sure why but I think it is becasue she is having another major teething session, you know what its like, they dribble and chew for England normally but she is in pain now and has the rosy cheeks and is off her food. I think she just wanted a Mummy cuddle to feel better!

Touch wood we are over the worst for this 'session' of teething as Nij had a hard day yesterday but at the moment she has been fine, drool and chewing, but otherwise playing happily!

After a CM day she usually goes to be about 6 / 6.30 where as before it was 7.30 / 8. I have her in the travel cot (1st night tonight) then in a week or so she is off to sleep in her own room.

I'm feeling better but I am still off to the doc on Monday as not 100% so just want to get it checked out.

Aww poor Chloe and poor Mummy and Daddy. Sounds like you're having a right time of it

Good idea to go to the Docs - even if they find nothing wrong, at least you'll have ruled anything medical out.

Re: Teething, I've had the teething powders recommended to me today so I may have a go with them. Earl has been good the last few days but seems to be getting a flare up today so I do have sympathy. Hopefully the travel cot will help her to settle as she can sprawl....Earl wouldn't go back into his moses after being in his a few nights. I hope she has a better night tonight and lets you get some rest, and that you have a nice Mother's Day xx

I was a bit unsure how the powders work, let me know how it goes

I worried although I don't know why! Just can't believe its time to move her in her own room soon, i knew the time would come but not this fast!!

Thanks hope you have a Happy Mothers Day too

Yeah Aimee I am listening lol. I do as much as I can but I go to bed about half 5 due to being up at 1am. And I have a serious insomnia problem at the moment which doesn't help. I wish I could do more for Chloe.

As for the doctors, they will just fob me off with nothing wrong, I am living on energy drinks my body clock is bust and all I wanna do is curl up in a ball and cry then sleep. I don't know why I wanna cry I just do (I am not emotional to his degree usually).
