Depression?

I'm 18 and my daughter Isabella is 2 weeks old today. I've been really worried about her. I've heard stories about SIDS and i feel like i can't sleep at night. I have been crying for the past hour. Well ever since i got Bella to sleep. I've just been so depressed lately. i feel like something is wrong with me. i am taking care of her on my own, for i saw raped and the FOB obviously will not be around and don't have much support.
I feel like everything is falling apart. :/

ugh

1st congrats, she's so cute. Don't worry hun, u can do it. What u'r feeling is normal. I used to check my baby's breath every 5 min when he was the age of ur daughter. I used to have nightmares & jump from my bed when I here a single movement.

Take a deep breath, and remember, things really get better within the coming few weeks xxxx

I worry about this constantly too, I think a lot of people do. It's distressing but normal. Your LO's only a couple of weeks old too so your whole world as you know it has been turned upside down, which will take some getting used to. I was tearful most nights for the first few weeks, then as I slowly got used to things, I started to feel better and in time you will too, hun.

With regards to the rape, that's an awful thing to have to deal with - have you had any help with that yet? If not it'd be a really good idea to do so, if you feel ready to talk about it, that is.

Do you have family or friends nearby who can come and help you out from time to time? Even if they just swing by for a while so you can get things off your chest?

Are there drop-in groups in your area for teen mums?

Really hope things get better for you

I too worry about SIDS, its scary to even think about it. Its completely normal to worry about it. You can only do your best, and I am sure your a great mommmy. It is normal to cry and be sad, you are going through a HUGE change. If your concerned that you have post natal depression, make an appointment with your doctor and some help. If you need someone to talk to PM me and we can exchange numbers, I am always here to listen and help.

I went through PPD where I worried about everything, as well as felt horrible about everything in my life.
There's a PND/PPD support group in this section of the forum, there are tons of people there going through the same thing as you, all different stages.. Definitely go in there they can help you day to day. It's nice talking to people who are going through the same things!

Big hugs! And she's beaautiful!
