I received a call back from my doctor and was advised to cut the pill in half. So I will be taking 10mg instead of 20mg. My doctor's nurse said that everything I am feeling is normal side effects and should subside in a few days, if not I am to discontinue the medicine and call them back.

So I am going to cut the pill in half and see what that does. Thanks so much for all your replys.

I was on Fluoxetine (Prozac) for depression before I fell pregnant but when I was diagnosed with PND after Amy was born I tried a couple of others. Both Citalopram (Celexa) & Sertraline (Zoloft) reacted very bad with me; I felt sick all the time, threw up a lot, my teeth chattered, my hands shook and I felt really spaced out. I went back to Fluoxetine and I've been fine with it, seems to work best for me.

It's normal to have a few side-effects when you 1st start taking anti-depressants, especially nausea, but if they don't seem to calm down after a couple of weeks or they're really bad go back to your Doctor...there's lots of anti-depressants out there so one will suit you

PND.

I'm 18 and my daughter Isabella is 2 weeks old today. I've been really worried about her. I've heard stories about SIDS and i feel like i can't sleep at night. I have been crying for the past hour. Well ever since i got Bella to sleep. I've just been so depressed lately. i feel like something is wrong with me. i am taking care of her on my own, for i saw raped and the FOB obviously will not be around and don't have much support.
I feel like everything is falling apart. :/
