I had a 2nd degree cut too. It took about 3 days before I went, and it didn't hurt. Did they give you a suppository painkiller - if so the first poo might be a bit weird so don't worry!

My MW gave me a top tip for when the time came, because there are often wiping issues with stitches. After you've been, wash yourself with the shower and dry with the hairdryer. Keeping it clean and dry helps it to heal faster.

I had an episiotomy when I had my Daughter and it was a whole week until my bowels opened! I thought it was going to be really painful but it barely hurt at all. If you have stitches and you're worried about it hurting/pulling try holding a wad of toilet paper against them; it helps

just a tip tht really helped me.... midwife told me to put a big pillow under my feet so my knees wer high seperate ur legs as wide as u can and to just beathe and not to strain just take ur time and try not to stress about it i was really worried but with my midwifes tips it was easy good luck xxx
