Aw crap, my apologies if that's the case! I was always told that you shouldnt use them till after your postnatal check up, then you're given a clean bill of health.
Again, sorry Jenny!

I only ended up using a tampon for a short while as they were very, very uncomfortable - it'll be a while before I use one again!!

I had to wear one for most of an evening as I was going to a wedding and my dress wasn't very forgiving. I spent most of the night worried about it though :/

I had an e-csection, and breastfeed but I started my period at exactly 28 days after birth. I had the normal bleeding that slowed down alot and by 28 days there was hardly anything so I knew it was my period - was a change in the bleedling as well as feeling my old period pains. I was still using pads so I just continued on using them as although I was given the ok by the HV to use tampons I just didn't feel comfortable.

After my 1st period - it lasted exactly the same amount of time as they used to - I then didn't get another one until LO was 7 months old.
