HI Kimmycat

My son Adam had horrendus(sp?) colic, he used to scream all day and even worse in the evings, he wouldnt settle untill about 3am, it was so hard.

We tried everything, infacol, dentinox, gripewater and even had colief given to us by the doctors, but nothing worked.

My HV came round one day and saw how bad he was and told me to put him on cow and gate comfort milk, he said it was designed to help babies digest milk better and that it was basicly a soya based milk.

We tried him on this and within a week he was so much better, still not over it completley but wasnt screaming all day and settled much eariler in the nights.

He grew out of his colic at 12 weeks old so is now back on the normal cow and gate foumlar.

Not sure if your feeding yourself or not? but try asking the docs to give you the colief, it didnt work for Adam but i know other mums who swear by it.
If your not feeding yourself then i strongly recomend you try the comfort milk, it was a god send to me.

Good luck

x

I'm Currently Feeling:

hi kimmycat, not sure if colic is wind related, but my baby had real trouble bringing up her wind on aptamil with avent bottles, she would wiggle and cry and hardly slept, i changed to Dr Browns bottles and although they are expensive they are fab, she just sits and brings her own wind up now we rarely have to sit her over our shoulder and rub her back, we are still on aptamil but with these new bottles she is such a settled baby, dont know if a change of bottles would help, but layla suggestion of asking Dr for colief is a good un'.. hope things work out X
