My Foofoo!

Sorry this may be TMI..

I had a 2nd degree tear with my LO and the stiches have all healed and everything is fine and back to normal internally, but when looking at it from the outside, the "entrance" looks different to how it used to- a lot pinker and sort of quite lumpy with what looks like a skin tag (urgh, sounds gross). It doesn't hurt or anything and isn't infected- is this scar tissue from the stiches? Anyone else had this?

Right TMI...

I tore like down the way so theres a thin line where the stitches were. But like around the edges its like lumpy looking. I asked the HV and she said thats were it was over stretched - sounds lovely!

Oh how delightful! Thanks for that, it has put my mind at ease! I would rather it be like that externally than anything be wrong internally, but still, it looked a lot prettier before! Haha. The joys of childbirth..

I've got the same, I think it's where the skin bunched up a bit when stitched.

I asked OH to have a look the other night to see if you could see the epis scar and he said "Nah, you can hardly see it.... errrr, it does look a bit 'bigger' down there now though". Cheeky f*cker! That'll be cuz I've just squeezed a PERSON out of it!!

Men, charming aren't they!! Mine kept teasing me the whole way through the pregnancy that I might end up with a "bucket" afterwards, but thank god it is the same as before- but how insensitive could he get?! Yeah your description sounds bang on for what mine looks like- thanks, saved me an embarrasing trip to the doctors!
