Dried apricots work a treat to get things moving. I only found this out by accident a couple of years ago when I ate loads and spend the evening running to the loo every 10 mins.

i had to have an enema after the birth of my son. the constipation was the worst part of my pregnancy. go to your midwife and get it sorted... senokot, lactulose, fibre, increased water intake did nothing for me and it was one of the worst experiences ever!!!
my sympathies!
