Body smell...

Has anyone noticed, since delivery, that their natural smell is somewhat more "potent" than it was before? I dont know if it is the hormones working themselves back to normal or what? I just took a shower about an hour ago and can smell myself already. This is really embarrassing.

Yeah, I've noticed that too - it's where you're still losing a tiny bit of fluid (lochia) from the uterus/placental site, it can have quite a strong, musky smell. From 6 weeks or so it should start getting less and less noticeable

I never had a lot of body odor before my LO was born. About a week after he was born I noticed my body odor was more "potent". It has been 3 month today and still the same. I have no idea what is causing it. Maybe hormones It is really embarrassing! Especially when I am around people and I sweat. I have tried different deoderents and nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh god yes!! And made worse by the possibility of taking a shower at anytime now impossible! I use dryclor (sp?) which you put on at night under your arms and it effectively stops you sweating after about 3 nights use, then stays effective without use for about a week. Cuts down body odour amazingly, especially as we sweat more as part of the function to loose the pregnancy liquid gain. I've found it is getting better and I'm 5 weeks since birth.
