Hi all

Firstly, Im fully BF on demand (although I dont know if this will make any difference)

I bled for around 3 weeks after birth, and then had a period when she was 5 1/2 weeks. I then had another period when she was 8 1/2 weeks. I started taking the mini pill when she was 10 weeks old, and had to have emergency contraception (morning after pill) the day after I started taking the pill because me and OH had a bit of an accident and I wasnt covered just yet - (sorry if that offends anybody)

Shes now 11 weeks old and Ive got another period - My 3rd one since she was born.

With my son, whos now 4 1/2 I bled for 2 1/2 months after the birth because they left some of the placenta inside me and it took that long to get it sorted out.

Ive been on the pill since I was 16 (since me and OH got serious), so periods were every 28 days like clockwork, and when I changed to the mini pill (because of migraines) I didnt get any periods at all. I think i was about every 30-ish days befor I started on the pil........

Has anyone else had this problem and what was it?

If I had to guess (and to be honest, this is all it is) perhaps the combination of breastfeeding and birth control is causing your spotting?
I'd maybe talk to your doctor, find out what the real deal is. Hope its nothing serious!

I was going to post the exact same thing!!!!!

I bled for 2 weeks after birth. Then got my period at 8 weeks and started to take the mini pill. The got another 5 day period at 10 weeks and have just started another period yesterday at 12 weeks. Starting to drive me mad!

Bobby is having his second lot of injections on Monday so will ask the nurse then for her advice.

snap I'm the same....it's since I started taking the pill again after my 6 week check....going to go to nurse next week if it doesn't get any better over the weekend.xx
