Breast infection....

Im still leaking LOADS and its been almost 4 weeks since my c-sec, i only BF for 3 days.. they still go hard and sore quite often and im wearing 3 breast pads at a time, mum said tonight she can smell the milk/collostrum whatever it is... its always smelt like this to me.. but says its not normal and breast milk shouldnt smell, ( not a HORRIBLE smell, but a smell nonetheless ) .. should i be concerned? has anyone had blocked milk ducts/infection ??

adunno hunny i was the same i leaked for about 6weeks wearing 2pads at a time and would go through both pads and my bra in an hour and i had to stand over the sink when i changed then. my milk had a really strong smell aswell made me feel so sick! i only bf for 3days aswell. sorry this doesnt really help. xxx

I'm not sure, maybe it goes off if it's not being used? I've leaked o to my teeshirt whilst sleeping and it's smelt not very fresh in the morning again not so much a bad smell but a smell none the less. X

I think if it was a blocked milk duct or infection you would be in a lot of pain, not speaking from experience but just what I have read! Just check it out with your HV when you next see her hun.

My boob milk smells, not a horrible smell, but when shes feeding i can smell it, kinda like a strong sweet smell
