oh babe, i am so so sorry! mine didnt go anywhere near as planned either, but was glad in the end cos baby wasnt doing too good in the end.

I sorry you didnt get what you wanted, i know how much you wanted a really natural labour and delivery and it must really suck to not get what you wanted! Hope you heal up quickly! Good luck hun x
Its okay hun same thing happened to me too babys heartrate dropped considerably after 2 hours of pushing but it was only down to the fact i was so fucking tired and in absolute agony i just couldnt do it I'm glad she's here and okay though thats the main thing! just absolutly gutted at the mo though - would have been a slight consolation if I was able to actually DO anything but I'm pretty much chair/bed bound It just feels/looks like its never gonna get better :\ x

I'm in a similar position to you, my birth experience was rather traumatic, not what I had planned it to be at all. I ended up with a forceps delivery and had an episiotomy (along with second degreee tearing), and one of my stitches has split too.

I did have an epidural though so I couldn't feel the birth, but I had been having contractions for about 24 hours by the time I started to dilate, I was exhausted as well. Baby turned around in the last three days to be spine-to-spine.
My baby's heartrate was dropping too, so they really wanted to get her out in a hurry.

You're amazing to have gone through it with no pain relief! Wow!

They have prescribed me antibiotics just in case it gets infected and also I am taking diclofenac for the swelling, I am breastfeeding and they said it was fine to take.

Do you have maybe a big shallow bowl that you could sort of sit/squat in? Fill it with warm water and a couple of drops of tea tree or lavender oil. I'm doing this in the bath.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. I hope you feel better soon, I understand your agony.

Thanks chick, sounds pretty much the same as me ! back2back too! i was dying! believe me if it hadnt been too late i would have had more pain relief than G&A! i was scared about having the epi - but nobody told me it was an option/when it would be too late either! midwife came over today and she said it looks nice and clean and like its healing well so hopefully it shouldnt be too much longer x
