Took us a while as I had an episiotomy with forcep delivery. Was sore for ages and took a while for stitches to dissolve, think it was about 12 weeks!

I had a second degree that went the length of the perimeun...hubby lovingly refers to this as my 'twitter' cross between my tw*t & my sh***er...he's funny hey? lol! Also had a 1st degree labial tear, haven't tried doing the deed yet as I'm not on the pill yet and terrified I'll end up pregnany again way too soon!

With regards to the ahem baggy feeling I was heartbroken when I inspected down below it was like poking my finger in a bucket & I couldn't even feel when I did my pelvic floors I researched buying a kegel 8 machine; they are pricey at £100 ish so before I commited to purchasing I had another check down below and was mega impressed at the improvement I'd only been doing pelvic floors twice a day so I've now I've stepped that upto 4 times a day and the improvement is great I doubt hubby will notice any different & I reckon another couple of months I@ll be back to normal....just need to get rid of my belly now!!!

Aww hun, that's what I have too, a twitter! I can't see how it will ever heal up and yes, It feels like a have a bit of a bucket too TBH! I was also heart broken when I put my finger in and couldn't feel the sides, that's horrible isn't it, I was nearly ready for hubby to come near me but after the inspection no way!
I will try doing the pelvic floors but like you I tried doing them when I was inspecting and couldn't feel them!
Tell you what, you wouldn't go through all this if it wasn't for a beautiful baby would you! I've also had very painful piles and I had thrush twice when my 'Women's War Wound' now lovingly named my twitter was still healing so I couldn't itch down there! What a bag of gorgeous sexiness I am! x x

My oh keeps asking when we can have sex again and I am soooooo scared!! I had and a forcep delivery with Epistotamy (sp) and stiches and its only just started not to be sore down there. I have only just started to use toilet paper again (previously getting in the bath to shower my bits everytime I went to the loo, ridiculous I know!!!).
I have told him maybe next week. I am going to a spa on Tuesday (my Birthday, Xmas and having Chloe present combined) so will need to tidy myself up down below so I can wear a swimming cossy. I think I will be ready to reveal my lady bits to him after that.....lol!

I feel so bad though cos I refused to have sex from when I got my BFP so the poor man has been wating a LONG time! Bless him, he must love me hey ;-)

I had the same worries as you soon after having Seren... I had a 2nd degree episiostomy (sp?) and it took me a good 3/4 months just to pluck up the courage to give it a go. Then I needed half a bottle of vodka! It hurt, but that was to be expected. It still hurts sometimes now, but I've learned to push past that and once I'm into it it's fine.
OH says that he can't feel a difference. It definately looks different, and feels different, but not in a terrible way. I had a bit of a feel down there a couple of months after, and it felt a bit like a wizards sleeve, but now that it's been a few months, and I've done pelvic floor exercises, it feels almost back to normal, and my finger feels "hugged" again.
All in all, don't expect everything to be exactly the same as it was before, as it may not be even after a few months, but that doesn't mean it'll be bad, jsut different to before!

I had an episotomy but also tore really badly inside too. It still hurts loads and my stitches are still there so I won't be trying for a LONG while yet!!

'womens war wound' PMSL!!! No you wouldn't go through it all if it wasn't for the beautiful baby at the end...it's been neraly 8 weeks for me hunni and TBH the pain and everything is all a distant memory`(also had the piles and thrush) just got to tone EVERYTHING up now haha.

Sounds like you've had a reet time of it chick it will get better though, in the meantime baileys mixed with brandy saw me through :-) and just think in a couple of years when it's all forgotten we can go through it all again

xxxx
