how soon can you get pregnant after giving birth?


me and dh have a couple of times this week and forgot to use anything so used to not having had to for last 10 months!! Is it possible to get pregnant again so soon? is it likely??!!

I think its possible, heard your more fertile after giving birth, so def get a test and find out!

It is!!! If your breatfeeding the chances are alot less likely. But my midwife told me Your extra fertile in the first six weeks. X

if i remember right i was told you cant fall pregnant in the first 21 days

I was also told that you cant get pregnant in the first 21 days.....In fact my MIL whos a MW sent me a txt sayong "day 21 today, dont forget contraception"...Very embarassing, I felt 16 again lol

Ok spent ages reading up old text books (used to be a nurse) and internet sites about this 21 days thing, you can def become pregnant before that, however I think the confusion comes because you can only start using contracetive such as the implant from 21 days post partum.

I dont know what the risks are of becoming pregnant before that but its def possible as i know at least3 people who bacame pregnant BEFORE there 6 week check!
