c section scar hurting after a week?

hiya i had a c section a week today and they kept the stiches in which are the pearl sticthes an extra day (2 days ago) cos it was weaping. Now the midwife hasnt been round to take them out in two days cos of the weather and i cant get out to the drs and i called them and they are shut anyway.

the scar hurts now and it feels like (the only way to describe it) is when you get your pubic hair caught on a sanitary towel? or something like that? all along the scar.

Any advice?

Also i have the runs but am on iron tablets due to anaemia.

Your stitches are still in, am I right? In that case I'd call NHS24/direct for advice.

The scar will feel like that, tight and sorta pulling, as it heals, but the fact that your stitches are still in means you may want to get some proper medical advice.

I had my c-section 4months ago and the feeling is gradually coming back lol it some times hurts that's if trousers rub on it. I had disolvable stitches but I think the other sort are meant to come out after 2days cos the mw was going to take mine out then relised they were different to everyone else on the ward lol.
