Sex post c-section

My labour didn't progress past really painful internal exams as it ended in a c-section but when i tried to have sex for the first time (4months post birth) i found it too painful. It then stung a bit when i had a wee for a couple of days. I think that it is the perineum area. Bit scared to try again. (can't imagine what it is like for people who have tears) Has anyone else had this problem? I don't really understand what has caused it and want to know if i can do anything to help myself. I read a suggestion of KY jelly but i guess i'm just a bit worried that i ought to do something more.

i had a c-section too, we first had sex 2 weeks after the birth and i found it to be pretty sore too, i was surprised as did not think it would be with a c-section!

I had a c-section and didn't have sex until 7 weeks post partum, I waited until after my first period, and I was not feeling too sexy with a big old hole and bandage on my belly lol (had it open w/ infection)-- at 7 weeks though no pain whatsoever!

If you had an emergency c-section/unplanned, at 2 weeks you may still be recovering from pushing- even if you didn't tear or anything.

im gettin quite down about it but dont know what to do! x x x

Had sex 20 days after c section, but used lubricated condom (no more bubba's just yet)!! Was a little sore because I was so dry so ky lined up ready. That's been recommended by many on here, especially if breastfeeding as you are hormonally dry.

I have had the same problem. Maybe TMI but it felt really tight and then the stinging starts not long after. We have only tried twice and it gets me down. Hoping it gets better tho!!
