Best exercises to get rid of my new mummy tummy?

Any recommendations? Are normal stomach crutches enough or do I need to do something different? I do have the Davina pre and postal natal DVD but I haven't done it yet.

Stomach crunches, swimming - also sitting up straight breathing in as far as you can so stomach goes in, holding for 5 seconds then releasing. and repeating that 20 times if you can. Will really help to strengthen tummy muscles.
Good luck!

crunches will partially help but a mummy tummy is fat!!! A million crunches wont get rid of that!
Walk walk walk and walk more! Burn off xs calories and lose the fat. That will get rid of the tummy roll of fat!

And as everyone says, after your 6 weeks check!

good luck

from what Ive heard and read walking is the most effective on getting rid of belly fat and when I was walking a few miles a day before having Lucas I noticed a big difference in the middle I just need to get started again!

I second the yoga! Walking/easy cardio will let you burn calories to lose excess weight, and yoga will strengthen muscles that have weakened over the last 9 months. My tummy is now back to normal other than the skin is looser - but I hear that takes quite a bit longer to firm up. But take it slow - jumping in too soon after bubs is born (especially with crunches!!) can do more harm than good - especially since tumy muscles separate to a certain degree while pg and you want to make sure they can handle the exercise.

xx
