Sounds like the mucus stuff you can get with lochia, I got tons of the stuff all blood stained, it is difficult to tell the difference between that and clots. Was it all stringy? Clots tend to be er...more firm iykwim.

My MW told me the clots were a sign I was over doing things, basically feeding and changing the baby is all you should do for the first 4 weeks, not easy I know when the baby has puked over the last of the clean baby grows, your only clean top and the duvet on your bed

erm i guess like the others said it was like a liver? thats a good description? it was like jelly, not sure if it was stringy cos it was all together but it wasnt firm and it wasnt a circle shape it was just a big blob!

when the midwives said clots may come i thought they meant the little things you sometimes get during your period!
I remember feeling like my insides were turning out and something was falling out, then i went to loo and found that monster!
christ! i remember bursting into tears and calling hubby upstairs!

i only cried tho cos i was in pain cos i had an infection which was diagnosed the next day.

they should show people the size of them to warn people.

xx

well its long gone so nobody can look at it even iff they wanted too! hehe,

Bleeding has lessened tody and had no more of it so maybe it was just a build up of blood and it was blocked or something and came away? like it formed a kinda plug but thats it gone now?? : /
