Pregnant Again...?

Well I am about 7 weeks post birth. Dh and I had sex for the first time at 4 weeks post birth.
The last week has been rather weird, I have been sick to my tummy, dizzy-lightheaded, extremly tired (not because of LO), and just generally off.

I have been getting a few cramps and the other day I felt like my period was coming, but it never came...

Idk what to think, I am getting my tubes tied here on the 12th, and have my 6 week check on the 5th.

I am scared to test... What do you ladies think?

!!! Wow - our LOs are almost the exact same age and I would be scared too! LO is alot for me to handle at the moment

I even posted about wanting to get pg again soon, but not THAT soon. I don't know much about how likely it is to get pg so soon though - isn't 4 weeks post-birth quite unlikely? I haven't gotten my period either but have just recently stopped bleeding from the birth. Are you breastfeeding? I am and was told I might not get my period for a while.

If you are worried about it I would definitely test though! Haven't seen many posts from you (or maybe I have just missed them) - hope you and LO are doing well!!!
xx

I have been crazy busy my 3 that I barely have time to come on any more. I check things real quick and then have to usually log right off. Lol
Plus I am sure you remember our horrible living situation, WE'RE MOVING IN 3 DAYS!! I am so excited.

It is extremly unlikely to get pregnant 4 weeks post, I am FF'ing though, I tried to breastfeed, but for some reason me and LO didn't work out and he was ALWAYS hungry.
Idk... I'll probably test and then laugh at myself because I am being nutty for even thinking that way...
But when i am so close to not having anymore children, that would be just my luck.

I didn't know about the move!!! Congrats!!!!
It will be hectic (I moved cities when Bun was a few days old then into our house 2 weeks later and it was crazy - and you have 3LOs!!) but I'm sure it will be so good to finally move into your own place!!! So glad to hear it!
xx

Scary stuff! Not to panic you, but midwife gave us lecture about contraception as she said many women go back to 6 week appointment pregnant again. Having just had a baby makes you more fertile, not less. Suggest you test asap just in case. Good luck x

Hun I'm sorry to say it but its not that unlikely! My sister got pregnant 4 weeks after giving birth to her 2nd baby. Took ages TTC him and then had sex once at 4 weeks and bang she was pregnant again. They say you should use contraception from 3 weeks PP. I would say test if you are worried.

My doctor said that it was possible to get pregnant again pretty much instantly and that if I wanted to start taking birth control pills again I had to do so when Joseph was 21 days old or less, so three weeks from his birth.

I did start taking them when Joseph was exactly 21 days old and then had an implant put in a few weeks later.

I got pregnant very easily each time anyway and I know that you are even more fertile in the few weeks after giving birth so I was convinced that would happen to us and pretty much banned Andrew from coming anywhere near me even fully dressed, just to be on the safe side

I really think you should test now, probably by going in to see your doctor because don't the pregnancy hormones stay in your body for a few weeks after birth too?

I know this must be a very scary time for you but it's better to know one way or the other than to wait and wonder and be worried about it. Please let us know how you get on.

you mentioned getting your tubes tied? Wont they do a pregnancy test then to make sure that your not pregnant and everything?
Hope everything works out for you
