I had a 3rd degree but thought i'd pass my experience on. I'd say don't rush it, use lots of lube and be gentle! I had Poppy in august and still find it a little uncomfortable now. The main thing is, if you start to feel sore, stop, you don't want to make matters worse. Good luck!xx

I had a second degree tear and an episiotomy. We tried sex at about 4 weeks but it hurt too much so we stopped. We managed at about 6 weeks and it was nice. It depends where you tore as to what will be best I think - for me, it's a lot better with him on top because when I'm on top, where I had stitches gets poked more. It is still a little sore now but only if I get poked at the wrong angle! I say just take it slowly and make sure your OH understands that you might not manage much at first.

We first had sex at about 6 weeks - it was a little uncomfortable but managable. At 9 weeks it was totally fine and just like before. I think it was a bit uncomfortable at first as usually I'm on the pill and at 6 weeks OH had to use a condom so took a bit longer!!!

I had 3 2nd degree tears and we waited just over 6 weeks.

It was abit uncomfy to start with but I think thats just because I was nervous and really tense.

All in all it was fine, just relax and take it steady, as above use abit of lube x

I had a 2nd degree tear and didn't have sex until 4 months pp. It hurt too much. I ended up going to a physical therapist to help massage my scar to ease the pain. Use lots of lube, go slow and relax. My therapist gave me a small vibrator to help transition up to DH's penis size.

We tried at around 3/4 weeks and it was more psychological than anythin, I was too scared and tensed rite up, so didnt want to push it. Tried again after a few days, just had to really relax and take lots of time and care. Turned out well, still nervous but its pretty much bk to normal now, jus occasionally have the odd pain.

Cant get into all the positions I used to now tho, all i will say is AIR!!! sorry, had to share hahahaha xxx
