finding time for me

I'm finding it very hard to remember to do some things that I need to do during the day.
My milk spply has dropped so much because I keep forgetting to take my pills and drink lots of fluids. Between feeding her, giving her her own meds, cleaning, doctors appointments and getting sleep it's hard to keep up and remember and to pump every 3 hours. I really want her to have breast milk but i'm stressing out about it.

Does anone have any tips for me to make my life a bit easier??? I dont want her to be on just formula

Sorry Steph, I haven't any advise, but just wanted to say you are doing a fantastic job. Don't beat yourself up for forgetting your meds. Most busy mums would forget those.

Is it possible to write out a schedule for yourself...not in terms of time but more so a list of things and the order in which to do them...i.e

Feed
shower
drink water
pump
feed eat
drink water
call doctor
feed
pump

That kind thing...I find it helps me through the Day and as the day goes by I can cross off the items in the list. Of course I don't get through everything but it helps me fee l a lil less stressed by kind of having it written out in front of me.

Just an idea.

In all honesty though it is very very hard and I do sympathise with you. Because there are many days where I would rather just sleep or relax than pump or eat or down a bottle of water...

Don't be too tough on yourself. I need alist to cross things off as I do them and I find that a big help.

Sounds like you having a tough time..Dont worry about all the unnessessary things and concentrate on your wee one and you..As for your milk supply to get that going so it is full i suggest when you have an hour express some milk enough for a couple of feeds and then allow baby to suckle..This will make your breasts fill again with more milk..If you loose your milk all together if your baby will suckle then this is the best way to get your milk supply back.and its better than a soother....

I suggest you slow down as being on the go will reduse your milk, i know i have breast fed all mine and never make it past 2 months as i have a large family and no time to relax..Keep going, and you will come through this...

Failing that give oh a bottle of expressed and leave him to it for a while and enjoy a hot bath and relaxation...Hope it sorts it self out soon...
