i'm thinking of having this instead of the mini pill as i had problems conceiving our baby and also feel rubbish on the pill i have been given

what are your experiences of this non-hormonal coil?

Thanks

Had mine fitted in Sept. Hardly felt any discomfort when put in, altho a spectrum is always a bit grim as we should all well know by now lol. Was in some pain afterwards, like bad period pain for about 3-4 days, also bled for about a week. Then had two instances of spotting, am also currently bleeding again since havin 6 week check. I would reccomend it tho, I love not havin to think about it. OH says he can feel it (the strings) but nurse that did check said that they will soften, but if they dont ad I get many more complaints from OH she will trim the strings a little. Hope that helped xxx

The bleeding is just where your uterus has been irritated, by someone fiddling about. After this lot finishes im hoping the spotting will cease. I BF and haven't had a period yet, so hopefully the next time theres bleeding it'll be the real deal Doc didnt mention OH feelin it 2 me either, but he mentioned that he could and then googled it and apparently its common and down to the strings, asked nurse about it and she confirmed it. xx

I asked for it at my 6 week check, and after going back to the female doc to chat contraception, she advised me to not have it as i was going to be trying for number 2 in about a year. Although if this pill doesn't agree with me, i think that'll be the next step

Yer it is more of a long term solution. We may not hav anymore, as OH dont want more , but if we do it wont be for at least 3 years. I wouldn't hav had it, if it was for just a year. Plus I guess if you did get preggo sooner it wouldn't be the end of the world being as youll be tryin again so soon. Where as if I got preggers again now, we wod be screwed. We can just afford one, two just wouldn't be possible xxxx
