Hair Loss

i know in the grand scheme of things its a minor problem but its starting to get to me. I have just past shoulder length hair and its always been fine and flyaway. It didn't get much thicker if at all in pregnancy and now its falling out. I just noticed the last week or so and this morning there were clumps in the bottom of my shower
I try and eat healthily etc but is there anything else I can do?
I know its normal in animals for there to be fur loss after birth so I guess the same can be true for people.

Hi
Please don't worry as it is totally normal. During preg, hair that should have fallen out doesn't and so after pregnancy, it all falls all of a sudden. It is to do with change in hormones. I first noticed massive hair loss 3 months after birth. I was so upset until I googled. I would say my hair continued to fall out for 2.5 months but I have noticed loads of new hair growth. There is noting you can do to stop it but take vits for hair (i think silica) just to stregthen and nourish the roots.

Sounds normal to me...my hair thicken up whilst pregnant and is now falling out, I find it everywhere, even on my LO, poor thing...I am told it can continue falling out for up to a year. You won't go bald, you are just losing extra hair you accumumlated whilst pregnant, even if you did not notice a difference, your hair probably did thicken up...it is a natural process...I would not worry...
