| Does anyone else feel ill from sleep deprivation? For a good couple of months i have been feeling a little dizzy every day, almost like im drunk. Im so exhausted dont think i can handle these sleepless nights anymore. Does any one else feel like this and will this horrible feeling of 'drunkenness' ever go away?? xx | | | | Status: Offline

| My suggestion? Co-sleep. It's done wonders for me. I sleep basically right on through the night. Initially we started co-sleeping because of problems with BFing after the first two weeks but once we started, it really is the best for us. I wake up refreshed most mornings and can even sleep in on some days because my LO is right there cuddling with me. And although there are alot of mixed opinions on co-sleeping, it is truly one of the most natural things in the world to me. Hope someone can help!! | | | | Status: Offline

| I feel the same as you! Taking each day as it comes, but can't wait for some kind of milestone where he might sleep a little longer at night (he's only 4 and a half weeks though!).
I am trying to drink lots of water - keeps you alert. And eating lots of fruit and veg. And taking my main meal of the day at lunch rather than in the evening so my stomach is not too full if I do manage to get a bit of kip at night. | | | | Status: Offline

| Oh god yes I feel exactly the same. And my voice is always all deep like I've just gotten out of bed. It seems to be getting easier by the day though x | | | | Status: Offline

| Are you sure the dizziness is tiredness? I know tiredness can make you feel like this but, to be safe, maybe you should get checked just in case? Can someone else take over for a night to let you get some rest? | | | | Status: Offline

| well i know my iron levels are low and im iron tablets, only one a day, but maybe i need to get them checked again or i could be lacking in something else. as for helping with sleep, my husband can only really help out on a sat night as the other days he has to get up for work, but the last few sats, hes been so tired, hes failed to get up when lo was crying so ive ended up just seeing to him. xx | | | | Status: Offline

| You said in your original post that you can't "handle" these nights anymore. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn but have you told your husband how desperate you feel just now? Maybe he already knows but if he doesn't maybe if he knew then he could help out a little more at the weekend. Tiredness can be so hard to cope with and I know if I didn't get at least one morning or night "off duty" I would be struggling to cope. | | | | Status: Offline
