Well I feel kind of guilty for feeling the way I do but everyone says Angelynn looks like her daddy. Now I think it's wonderful and I am happy that my daughter is so beautiful but no one has said once yet that she looks like her mommy and I wish that she kind of did. And I feel selfish for thinking that. Maybe she might look like me later on but she is after all my flesh and blood and I always thought my baby would look like me at least in some ways. So everytime someone says "she looks just like her daddy" it makes me feel a little bit sad and jealous. Is that a normal way to feel? I feel like a bad mom for thinking that. But I think shes the most beautiful thing in the world and I wouldnt change a thing

Oh hun you guys have a precious little girl and I think its natural to hope LO will have some of your looks - I call Caitlin a traitor everytime we think her eyes may go brown I defo think she may have my eyes but the rest about her is Daddy. Something will shine through - take a look at her features closely together it can be she has your chin, your long or shorter fingers etc.

I think that as Angelynn grows, she will start to look more and more like you Both I have seed this with my friends and their littleones.... Your feelings are so normal

to begin with my daughter looked so so much like darren(according to everyone...) funny that cos darren aint her sperm doner people see what they want to see hun!!! as she grows up, you will definately see both mummy and daddy in her

people can't really know 'bout the look of OH yet!

e.g. when you see Juleika for once, you would think she looks more like me, but only I know, how she looks like when she coming of the breast, and then she looks so much like OH's twin brother.

not to forget there are features people won't see necessarily! for e.g. Juleika has definately the feet of OH (they are huge, LOL)!

but the ears are from me, so she has features from both us. I am sure it's the same with Angelynn.

also some of them just come out later on
an example was the babydaughter of a student friend of mine. she looked so much liked her father as an infant and when I saw her five years later on a picture she was the living image of her mother!

not to worry, 'bout your feeling, of course you want she has something of you, but she will, I am sure

I'm sure she will look more like you in a few months, don't worry about how you feel, it's totally normal.

EVERYONE says how much Bethanie looks like her daddy, and she does a lot (especially when she was a newborn baby) and I was convinced she'd have hazel eyes like me (as Brown is more dominant etc) but she has gorgeous blue eyes instead. As she has got older she has started to look more like me and sometimes when she smiles I say how much she just looked like me. I think it's nice to notice little similarities and as they get bigger they change so much so im sure you will notice that she is like you too - in fact my avatar <<< is one pic I always say that she looks like me in!

I know what you mean, I don't get jealous but maybe a bit.. I don't know, but I suppose we've carried them for months and they are ours and then everyone is saying they don't look like us lol. Bless, it will pass.

THanks ladies. There's just so many new things to think about and get used to and yes I always imagined my little sprout would look like her mom. And that a boy would look like his dad. But regardless she's beautiful. I know she's still got alot more growing to do it's just I feel like i'm the one that went through all of pain and i'm the one who carried her and i'd like to take some credit for how she looks lol I feel like no one aknowledges me when they all say "she looks just like dad".... Im sure i'll get over it

i know my mom had the same issue with me, she even told me. When i was born all the way up till i was 3 or so, i was daddys girl...the looks, personality, everything. but then i started to change and now i look almost identical to my mom. Even my pictures growing up look like my moms pictures of her growing up at my age.

Hunny, it's ok your baby is beautiful!! I've thought to myself many many times that i wish i looked more like my mother, as she is Japanese and i hardly look asian at all (father is white). But when i look in the mirror I can definitely tell i have a lot of her genes: i'm slender like she is, i have her hair, skin tone, same cheeks and that "half moon shaped" eyes (you can tell when we both smile!). All of those things I never noticed till i was older!

Angel still has a lot to grow and I am sure as she does, you'll find that there is more of you in her than you think!
