3rd degree tear - 8 months ago.

I had a third degree tear when I had Oliver, 8 months ago. It has never been right and I mentioned it at my 3 month check. After long walks it hurts, sex has been completely impossible. qe have tried so many times and given up.
I finally saw my gp, who reffered me. And now I need surgery to have it all re-done. I go in on the 21st July.
So please, if things don't feel quite right, you must get it checked out. The doctor at the 3 month check told me it was healing and it would get better on it's own. I should have just given it a few weeks, then got a second opinion.

My mate has just had her's all sorted out (again after living with a wonky faff and lots of pain/no sex for 8 months) - we now call her Miss Designer Vagina. But hers is all lovely and sorted now, after a short recovery time. xxx

I'm not sure whether I had a 1st degree or 3rd degree :S I get them mixed up.
Well anyway I was being stitched up for 45 minutes after they cut me and I teared to death (my mum and aunty still have nightmares about it!) And I wasn't sure if it was right. I had LOADS of complications with mine! First, they were stitched too tight, then they took some stitches out, then my wound split open, then it got infected because it was open, then i got an abcess, then it healed wrong. I had to have mepiform gel patches for weeks and still struggle with it now. I attempted sex but it was absolutely impossible and havent tried since it hurt too much. I've seen my doctor and she said if it's not better by time baby is 12 weeks (he's now 21 weeks) that I would have to have recon surgery but they wont do it until 12 months!!!
I'm glad they're getting yours sorted though hun x
