I never really thought about that when we were told we were having a boy.. and when VanWest mentioned their Medicare doesn't pay for it, it makes me wonder if ours does here in TN. I always just figured we would have it done. I still feel like I would want to have it done, just for sanitary reasons. It would be much easier to clean.

Totally agree with you Yvanne, if they bathe properly whats the problem.

It hadn't even entered my head as it's definately not common in the UK and I know no one who's been circumsized. And I have a very large family.
I wouldn't put my son through that with no medical reason.

Part of the thinking behind it in the US is that it is dirty if you are not circumsised. I had a friend's friend tell me how nasty it was, that men didn't wash their hands let alone their c*cks. She was an idiot. If I had to make this decision before having the experience I do with my UK husband, I would have had it done, now that I know more about it, there is NO way I would ever do it.

Wow, I must be naive. I thought it was common practice in many places to get circumsized. My mom said my dad wasn't but my brother was. I was told it is better for cleaning purposes as well. DH is circumsized and I've never been with anyone else. I wonder if I'm missing out on something...heheh

OK to answer the What it looks like, Well Picture a turtle...

My hubby is not done. He likes it. He is also the first person I was with that was not done. Now on a Sexual note, (not that you Mom's want to think about that) My hubby says that by him not being done, He is more sensitive on the head. I have to agree it is alot softer... LOL that is some TMI info for us USA Girls. I dont know why USA guys get imbarrased by not being done, When its happy you cant tell the difference.

As far as infections because you dont have it done, well I guess that is were how well you (a guy) takes care of himself. So if we ever have a Son, It wont be done
