Have had some adult time and a night away

And it did me the world of good. Tbh, I've been feeling really low for a few weeks now, and have no self esteem at all at the minute.

Well, I got a call from my team leader a couple of weeks ago and he asked me if I fancied attending a team meeting. It would involve leaving home at 7.30am, travelling to Birmingham Hall Green dog stadium. There we would have a business update and team meeting in the morning, a team building exercise in the afternoon, then meal and dog racing in the evening and staying at the stadiums hotel. I talked it over with DH and decided to go.

And it was brilliant! Apart from all the 'how are the kids?', 'hows Ben doing?' type of questions, it was a baby free day. We had a free bar from 4pm, and I fell into bed at 4.30am!

Obviously I missed the kids, but it was just what I needed to have some real adult company for a change.

I would advise anyone who is struggling, and feels like they are losing their identity in a pile of nappies and bottles, just do it. Spend a day in adult company. Do a Keep In Touch day at work. Get family/friends to babysit while you get away for a night. Anything like that.

It really works!
