AF after giving birth

AF has just shown up for the first time since having Ed but it's really strange. I woke up with cramping this morning and now started to bleed is it normal for it to be heavy and bright red? It is also alot more painfull than af before having baby

Rememeber it's your 1st one in 6months....there's a lot for your body to get rid of. My 1st few after birth are generally heavier and crampier than before but it should get back to nomal after a few cycles or so.

Amy still has had an AF. Doc said its cos she is breasfeeding. Sorry not much help.

mine didnt come for 8 months cos of BF but it was actually the same length as before i fell pregnant

well it's fresh blood that's all...it becomes darker and browner the older it is. It's quite normal in my experience (I've given birth 6 times), if you're that worried ask your midwife, Dr or HV

My 1st few after birth are generally heavier and crampier than before but it should get back to nomal after a few cycles or so.
