Hey Lindy! Sounds like you're settling in to family life well.

I just went to give Harvey a kiss and he tried to latch on to my nose! He's feeding so much that I don't seem to have the time, energy or milk to express.

Soph - it could just be that Summer is having a growth spurt, they usually settle after a few days.

George tends to cluster feed in the evening and is on and off my boob from about 5:30 or 6 until 9 or even 10 some nights with 3, 4 or even 5 short feeds but it is a bit like he is filling himself to go a bit longer overnight. If I don't disturb him he goes thru' till about 1 or 1:30 but usually if I'm going to bed at 11 or later I feed him in his sleep and he goes thru' till about 2:30 or 3am.

I have been doing his bedtime routine abut 8:30 but he fell properly asleep on me about 7:45 yesterday and then woke up when I was cleaning his face, changing him etc so I think I am going to try and creep bedtime a bit earlier slowly.

Pram still not here but definitely on its way. I have a tracking number for it and I spoke to the post service yesterday and they said it should be here today - far more use than the company I ordered it from!

Kiddo - love Harvey latching on your nose!! george grapped my lips with his hand the other day and wouldn't let go!

Just gonna read yesterday's page too now!

GCL: great news about Myles weight gain

Mummy B: so glad Levi is a bit happier now

Nutty: I've got to go to our weigh-in clinic today - its a drop in service so I don't know how long I'll have to wait...

Lindy: nice to see you here. glad Eve seems to be doing well, George definitely has a cranky few hours each day - often around the time Matt gets home from work.
As for breastfeeding in the sling - I move the inside bit of sling down and get my nipple out, turn him more towards me and latch him on, the outer bit of the sling keeps us covered and I can move, walk if I keep a hand on him thru' the sling etc.

Hi girls

Welcome over lindy I think a routine will just come in time, dw about it atm! Mine atm is do whatever Myles wants whenever he wants it

Kiddo I have had the pressure thing, I read in one of the leaflets I was given it can be if you have been standing up for too long - mine has happened when I have been out for a walk so think it was that for me.

Myles has been a monkey in the night, he slept from around 8pm last night then woke at 12 and was wide awake most of the night!!! I just can't keep him awake when he wants to sleep though no matter what I do! I managed to get an hour and a half in on the sofa from nine oclock and had a couple of hours from 6am but still feeling a bit zombie like today!!

What is everyone up to? My auntie and one of my cousins are coming over this afternoon but nothing else planned, tomorrow we are going to register the birth DD has gone to her Dad's for a couple of days, she is so good with Myles, even changes dirty nappies which she said she would never do! It will be nice to have a couple of days just DH and I though

Lindy I only started a bedtime routine coz i noticed that come 9:30pm George seemed to decide it was nighttime so I wanted to encourage it!

We start about 8:30pm at the mo, top and tail wash, short go under hairdryer coz he LOVES it, then massage, PJs, last feed in living room with lights & tv low, then when he's nice n snoozy into bed. He only gets a full bath every few days not everyday. He usually goes down well, occassionally stirs after 20min or so but tends to be easy to resettle. We don't have a routine for any other time apart from me keeping it bright in the daytime even for naps so hopefully he'll learn day and night.

Lindy i tried getting a routine but ended up just letting summer do what she wanted and it was much easier i found.

Soph, Harvey's feeding at least every 2 hours just now but quite often more. It's making it difficult for me to get any EBM for him. Since last night I've only managed to get 1.5oz which he'll guzzle in no time. I was really hoping to have expressing down by now so that I can go to a full band practice.

GCL - that's fab that J is good with Myles, I bet she's totally smitten. how old was he when she got back from her hols? I missed that.

Joey - sounds like you have night time down to a tee. We are nowhere near so organised.

We have the health visitor coming round this afternoon so I'm looking forward to seeing how much weight Harvey has put on. I'm hoping it will give me a bit of a boost with the feeding as I'm starting to struggle slightly with it, it's sooo tiring and I feel like all I do is feed him all the time and I thought my nipples would have toughened up a bit more by now.

Anyway, Harvey's sitting quite happily in his swing listening to music just now so hopefully he'll fall asleep soon and I can get a quick tidy up done.
