Thanks Mish, we've tried Extra Hungry milk at bedtime and it didn't make any difference. It also doesn't matter if he's in our room or his own room. He does sleep better in our bed but if he's in his cot in our room he's up just as much. I might give sleeping in his room a go though.

Nutty - Bugger, i didn't see that about the fire guard. I'll have to find something else. I'm after something small like that which seems to be quite hard to find. El seems o love the fire.

yeah mish....finding small fireguards is like finding rocking horse poo LOL they have to be pretty big to allow distance between the fire and baby, coz they can still poke fingers through etc. ebay have a few on x
Kai isnt too bad his eye has come right up again though...it looks awful.....he always gets gasps from mum at nursery who point n go...omg whats wrong with his eye! then i ahve to explain its a cyst n that it comes up n goes back down over a few weeks. it needs sorting and hes on the list for surgery but im still reluctant for him to go through it, because even if it goes another one could just come back anyway...its not a preventative op.

awww soph, hope u still enjoy yourself though!! aww u got some lovely pressies off Phil!

kiddo, yeah try sleeping in his room. is his room too hot/too cold? we changed the heating to 2 stops higher and Abbi slept through!!! you could also try that? xx

Mish, he normally sleeps for about 8-10 hours a day in total. His daytime naps have stretched from 20-30mins each to around an hour+ each in the past few weeks.

Nutty, I was wondering about that but I don't know how to make his room slightly warmer without leaving the heating on all night.

I was wondering where GCL is too - she hasn't posted since Wed night

Aww my poor little girl she really isn't well. She's just fell to sleep drinking her milk from her cup. She never falls to sleep like that she has to be walked with to fall to sleep. I hope she picks up soon. My bro has just called me and his little boy has been crying all morning so it looks like he's not doing to good either.

We have been out in the garden for a little bit this afternoon so she's had some fresh air and i've tidied the garden up

I've just put that 1 born every minute on. I thought i can probably watch stuff like this now that i know i never have to do it. I dunno if you remember when we aere all pregnant i would never read anything you lot wrose about labour or birth because it freaked me out. I didn't even know there were 3 stages to labour ....lol

Hi girls, sorry for my absence, DH has been home with a bad back and I haven't had time (or got the laptop) to post!

I am ok, i have a bad back too though, I think for both of us it is just the sheer weight of picking M up all the time, he weighs 1 stone 9 pounds now!! I have been feeling more cheerful but could just be cos i haven't been on my own I will see how I am next week when DH is back at work.

Soph - Happy Birthday hun, hope you have a fab time at Butlins, ignore your dad he is obviously insensitive!

Mish sorry Els isn't well again, from what you have said I would say you need to cut down her milk intake and that will hopefully increase her appetite for solids, I know when M was having 5/6 formula feeds a day he didn't want to eat anything much. We have a black shaped fireguard from Kiddicare it looks quite nice.

Kiddo sorry you are still being deprived of sleep, I really don't know what to suggest, I feel for you cos it is soul destroying! does he move around a lot in the night cos Myles has been much better since we started using the sheet across the bottom of his cot, he only wakes once usually now.

Nutty have you got a date through for Kai's eye op yet? hope it isn't too sore for him poor lil dude

Jo we had to put M's cot down to the bottom rung a couple of weeks ago too after I caught him standing up in there - little monkeys aren't they?!

Myles is pulling himself up on anything and everything now it is amazing how strong he has gotten in such a short space of time! We have bought a non-slip bath mat (in the night garden with Makka pakkas song on it) and he sits in the bath now instead of using his bath seat, he loves it and splashes loads We have bought him some new stuff for our hols too, some shorts from Primark (2x packs of 2 for £3!!) and a little hooded beach towel and a lovely reversible jacket from mothercare

Morning ladies!

Mish, you just made me

GCL, glad you're feeling better but sorry your back hurts. That jacket is gorgeous! Harvey pulled himself up on his cot bars for the first time last night. He was sitting next to his cot and the thing he was standing up. OH missed it though as he was sneezing! I haven't put the mattress down yet since he still can't get himself into a sitting position. Harvey hardly moves when he's sleeping but most of the time when he wakes he puts his legs in the air. I don't know if he's doing it because he's upset or because he's got wind or a sore tummy.
