Infection

I had a part natural m/c last friday folloed by D&C, been fine but yesterday started getting occasional stabbing pains just inside my hip bone. Today it's still there slightly and I'm going to the loo quite a bit and it feels achy when I do if that makes sense. I've also been feeling unusually cold the past couple of days but no fever.

My bleeding just stopped yesterday as well, spotted last night and nothing again today!

I have booked a Drs appt to get checked, just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and if so

1) Am I likely to have another internal?
2) What treatment did you get
3) Is it normal for the bleeding to have calmed down so soon - 5 days?

I am dreading my appt as Dr is very uncaring and was very blunt on phone with me as usual, if he is still that way when I go in I'm going to ask not to see him again. I cried just thinking about it.

It's so hard to move on with all these reminders

Hi there
My bleeding stopped pretty quickly too, after ERPC, about 5 days.
I had a few uncomfortable pains, mainly when going to the loo (Number 2's sorry TMI). I think it's because I had drugs to open my cervix and it takes a while for your body to get back to normal. Actually it took a few weeks for it to feel normal again. I also experienced some stabbing pains and stuff (and still do) not sure if they're ovulation pains or just general pains but they are short and sharp.

Been to the Dr's - he was ok and I got through it with no tears.

Thought I would post the outcome in case anyone else has similar problem.

I didn't have an internal.
He said there feels like some pelvic inflamation so probably an infection.
Gave me a course of strong antibiotics to take for 5 days
Said it is quite normal for bleeding to have stopped already

With my first D+C i think bleeding stopped quite quicky although this time it took 14 days to stop being heavy. Then i had about a week of bad spotting and dark brown thick discharge. One day i would have it and the next it would stop.

I had lots of stabbing pains and very uncomfortable aches which comes and goes. And like Orange i also still find it uncomfortable to pass stools.

My doc said the pains were prob just everything going back to normal and de stretching so to speak. I have not had any bleeding etc since my BFN a week last Friday so that is good. It also took three weeks for my levels to go back to normal and i think that is when the bleeding stopped.

I have spoken to the doctor and she said it all sounded normal and that i can start trying again when i am ready. So all good really.

I am not sure if the stabbing pains are OV pain or AF trying to come as i have heard that forst AF after MC is worse than normal ones.

Glad dr's was ok for you and hopefully you will start to feel physically better soon,its kind of you to share what happened as its hard to face the thought of internals etc so son after.
was reasured to read that your bleeding took longer to settle second time vickie as i stopped after 5 days first time but is still exactly the same nine days later this time-does anyone know if i could ov whilst still bleeding?

Sorry for your loss.
I had my second D&C two weeks ago and am still experiencing the symptoms like you. Both times I took the tablets to open my cervix. I ended up back at the hospital 5 days after the D&C and it turns out they hadn't removed everything so they gave me strong antibiotics to take and even though I have finished the course I still have stabbing pains particularly in my left side, and sometimes uncomfortable going to the toilet. I am also still bleeding one day it stops the next day it starts again!!! After my first D&C I had none of this so it seems every one is different! Like Toby2 I would also be curious to know if you can ovulate while still light bleeding??
